On behalf of the Scientific Committee of the 11^th ISABC, it is my pleasure to cordially invite you to participate in and to contribute to the next International Symposium on Applied Bioinorganic Chemistry that will be held in Barcelona (Spain). We hope you can help us to make this meeting a stimulating and propelling experience at the forefront of Applied Bioinorganic Chemistry.

The symposium will cover all aspects of the broad discipline of metals in diagnosis, therapy, and neurosciences, their environmental and toxicological aspects and related metabolic diseases, as well as biomaterials and mimetics of metalloproteins. The meeting is designed to provide a maximum of scientific discussion and personal interaction.

Coinciding with the International Year of Chemistry, we intend the symposium to be a memorable event for all participants, not only because of its scientific program but also because of its exceptional location. The Casa de Convalescència is in the heart of Barcelona, very close to Gaudí’s famous Sagrada Família. Moreover, the scheduled social and cultural events will provide an excellent opportunity of discovering the rich historical and cultural heritage of an emblematic city such as Barcelona.
