Dr Guillem Aromí (Barcelona, 1969) obtained his PhD in 1999 at Indiana University (Prof. G. Christou). He spend Postdoctoral periods at Leiden University (Marie Curie Fellowship, Prof. Jan Reedijk) and Manchester University (Prof. Richard Winpenny). In 2003, Dr Aromí was awarded a Spanish Fellowship “Ramón y Cajal” at the Universitat de Barcelona, where he is Associate Professor since 2007, and currently leads the “Group of Magnetism and Functional Molecules (GMMF)” recently recognized officially as a Research Group by the Generalitat de Catalunya. Dr Aromí is co-author of about 110 publications. He received in 2009 the prize “ICREA Academia” by the Generalitat de Catalunya, for excellence in research at the University. In 2010, he received also the Starting Independent Researcher Grant from the European Research Council.
